We want to reassure everyone that this was intentional and temporary. We are working to resolve a few audio issues and have backup recordings available to ensure the best possible viewing experience.

Our goal is to have the videos available for everyone to watch later today.

🎥 WE’RE LIVE AT 4:00 PM!

This is going to be a phenomenal opportunity to hear directly from all 17 candidates in a completely different format.

From 4:00–6:00 PM, each candidate has 5 uninterrupted, unedited minutes to speak directly to residents about their platform, priorities, experience, and why they’re running.

No questions. No interruptions. Just the candidates, in their own words.

And there’s a reason we’re doing it this way! Giving candidates this dedicated time beforehand means we can leave more of tonight’s 7:00–9:00 PM All Candidates Forum for YOUR questions and get through as many community issues as possible.

📺 Can’t tune in at 4:00? Don’t worry! The full stream will remain available afterward, so you can watch it later, rewatch it, pause it, and come back to it anytime.

17 candidates. 5 minutes each. Uninterrupted. Unedited.

Business Spotlight -

Evergreen Basic Needs (EBN) is a community-based charitable organization working to eliminate hunger and food insecurity in Gimli and the surrounding East Interlake region. Through food distribution, education, and support programs, EBN addresses the issues that create food insecurity, all in partnership and cooperation with the community.

At the heart of its work is the food bank. In partnership with Harvest Manitoba, EBN distributes 4,000 kilograms, roughly 10,000 pounds, of surplus food each month to families across the area. Alongside the food bank, its Community Service and Life Essentials programs extend that support even further.

EBN is also home to Respun Threads, its thrift store, which resells gently used clothing, housewares, books, giftware, and furniture. Every dollar raised goes straight back into operations, funding programs and providing local employment. Gently used donations are gratefully accepted at the warehouse.

Whether you donate, volunteer, or shop at Respun Threads, supporting EBN helps keep this vital work going right here in the community.

Business Spotlight-
Johnson’s Fashion & Footwear

For generations, Johnson’s has been a staple of shopping in Gimli. The family’s history in retail dates back to 1952 and now spans three generations, with the same passion for the business carried through the years.

Product lines have come and gone as fashion and trends evolved, but the pillars the business is built on have stayed the same: quality, service, loyalty, and trust.

Today, the shop offers a carefully selected range of women’s and men’s fashion and footwear from trusted brands around the world, along with accessories, jewellery, and gifts.

Johnson’s also runs the Blingo Box, a subscription that ships every other month and has grown a community of women across Canada since 2023. Each box is a curated mix of fashion accessories, self-care items, and seasonal decor, with many pieces sourced from Canadian female entrepreneurs and family businesses. Subscribers can also join in the Blingo LIVE show on Johnson’s Facebook and YouTube for a bit of fun and a chance at prizes.

Johnson’s fashions are timeless, quality pieces that can be styled from work to weekend and season to season.
