Full Time Career Opportunity - Manager

We are looking for a people oriented, organized, innovative manager who will be responsible for the overall supervision of all staff and of support services programs. Programs include Congregate Meal Programs, Lifeline, Meals on Wheels, Transportation Service, and others.

Reporting to the board of directors, the requirements for the position include good supervisory, administrative, creativity and problem solving, written communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to seniors' health and well-being and community.

University or college credentials, plus related experience, or some equivalent combination are required, as are a car, valid driver's license and pre-employment checks.

The hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with some potential evenings or weekends.

We offer a competitive starting wage which includes pension and benefit package.

The Seniors Resource Program has many services to offer in the R.M. of Gimli, Town of Winnipeg Beach, Village of Dunnottar, R.M. of St. Andrews and R.M. of Armstrong. Some services offered are Lifeline, Housekeeping / Laundry, Yard Maintenance, Meals on Wheels, Congregate Meal Programs, Transportation, E.R.I.K., (Emergency Response Information Kit), etc. For more information on our services or know of someone who can benefit from them please give us a call at 204-642-7297 or come see us in office 22 of the Gimli Community Health Centre. We always welcome new volunteers and fee-for-service workers too!

The Seniors Resource Program is looking for more volunteers to deliver Meals on Wheels in the Gimli & Winnipeg Beach / Village of Dunnottar areas.

We're also looking for more individuals to provide transportation for medical appointments and cleaning services in seniors homes. For more information please give us a call at the office 204-642-7297.

Explore Our Programs and Services:

Lifeline (Home Emergency Response Systems) - This service is for seniors who live alone or who have a potentially disabling medical condition. It allows them to live independently in their own home.

Congregate Meal - This program lets seniors enjoy a home cooked noon meal up to 5 times a week (Monday thru Friday). It gives the people a chance to assist in the food preparation, cleanup and time for socialization.

Meals on Wheels - Together with organizations and volunteers, Meals on Wheels will help the elderly and the disabled remain in their own surroundings, as well as, provide good nutritional meals. These meals are provided in Gimli and Winnipeg Beach on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
