1st Gibsons Scout Group, Scouts Canada Scouting has been alive for over 100 years and is an organization committed to the development of youth.

We try to keep the "out" in scouting by using the outdoors to allow our youth to develop skills of self reliance and leadership.

Christmas is drawing near as are the end of our Christmas trees …. Only about 10 left in the compound, so come get yours while you can. Don’t be disappointed !
Home Hardware can sell you one when they are open and we will have scouts on site to help on Saturday 10-4 and Sunday 11-2 while we have trees. (If we are not there Sunday we will have sold out!)

Another huge thank you to Home Hardware for supporting our scouts by giving us a place to sell from as well as selling for us during the week!
And thank you to GBS for providing the truck to pick up the trees from the nursery!
We have an amazingly supportive community here.

Please stop by and support the scouts. You can buy your tree from the lovely people at Home Hardware Gibsons during open hours and scouts are on site Saturdays and Sunday.

Just over a week to go to purchase your Christmas tree to support our scout youth in Gibsons.
Only (6) larger 7-8 ft trees left !
(16) 6-7 ft trees and (13) 5-6 ft trees left.
We are open Sunday 11 am till 2 pm only (Home Hardware Closed ) and while Home Hardware is open.

🌲 AdventureSmart In Action! 🌲

Hats off to the Cub Scouts who recently came to the rescue of three unprepared hikers in Golden Ears Provincial Park. Their quick thinking, compassion, and readiness to help genuinely made a difference β€” that’s what being AdventureSmart is all about.

They stepped up when someone needed help, stayed calm, and helped get people to safety. Their effort shows that outdoor safety isn’t just about gear or trails β€” it’s also about community and looking out for one another.

πŸ‘‰ Let’s celebrate their spirit and remember: being prepared isn’t only for ourselves. It also means being ready to help others on the trail.
