📍 When: Sunday May 11 th 9-11 am
📍Where: Fairy Lake main parking lot
📍What to bring: helmet, bike, water and binoculars if you like!
📍consider downloading the free .bird.id birding app before the ride to help identify what we see and hear.

Hey ! Ready for a unique birdwatching experience? 🦉

Join us on Saturday, November 23, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., or 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to learn about the birds of Halton Hills through an Indigenous lens, as we hike through Willow Park Ecology Centre located at Mary St. & Highway 7, in Norval. 🌳 🐦

Joseph Pitawanakwat and two ecologists, will be leading a birding walk, identifying birds and introducing us to their names in Anishinaabemowin, the Ojibwe language. We will learn how to identify birds through sight and sound, and Joseph will share stories about the cultural and ecological significance of birds from an Anishinaabe perspective 🐦

To learn more and register for one of the free sessions, email Jennifer Spence, Environmental Stewardship Coordinator, at haltonhills.ca/getinvolved.
