The Mission of the Organization is to empower our people by keeping our ceremonies alive Providing:

a.

The purpose of the Corporation as indicated in the patent letters is as follows:

1. Prevent or alleviate youth-related issues such as substance abuse, su***de, depression, school dropout, delinquency, etc. and the distress that accompanies them by providing young people with a meeting place where well trained people are present to support them in their life experiences and help them overcome t

heir problems through talking circles, individual or group counselling, based on a traditional approach using the seven grandfather’s teachings as described in our values section. Mental health services and support group;

b. Addiction support services and groups;

c. Service and support group for women victims of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual abuse;

Note: Traditional First Nations teaching strategies are spiritually-based, holistic and deeply rooted in nature, and are non religious. They reinforce our values and respect rules of reciprocity.

Well, I am going on a mission lol... for all of you who know me, know what this means lol... I will be leaving on July 28th with another kokum, and we are driving to Winnipeg.

The goal is to meet other grandmothers along the way and talk about important grandmother's stuff ❤️

Of course, we will also take time to connect with Lake Superior and offer our To***co along the way and see old friends.

If you happen to be along Hwy 17, let us know and maybe we could stop by for tea....

We will be posting pictures so you can follow us..... Please keep us in your daily intentions as we go on this journey.

Eh bien, je pars en mission, lol... celles et ceux qui me connaissent savent ce que cela signifie, lol... Je prends la route pour Winnipeg le 28 juillet, en compagnie d'une autre *kokum* (grand-mère).

L'objectif est de rencontrer d'autres grands-mères en chemin et d'échanger sur des sujets qui nous tiennent à cœur en tant que grands-mères ❤️

Bien entendu, nous prendrons aussi le temps de nous relier au lac Supérieur, d'offrir du tabac en chemin et de retrouver de vieux amis.

Si vous vous trouvez près de la route 17, faites-le-nous savoir ; nous pourrions peut-être passer prendre le thé...

Nous publierons des photos pour que vous puissiez nous suivre... Merci de nous inclure dans vos intentions quotidiennes tout au long de ce voyage.

La Marche arrive à grands pas. Nous quittons Gatineau le 8 juillet. Je viens d'envoyer un courriel à toutes les personnes qui m'ont indiqué vouloir marcher cette année. Si tu n'as pas reçu de courriel de ma part, c'est que je n'ai pas ton nom. Si tu désires te joindre à la Marche, tu dois me laisser savoir avant vendredi.

Tu ne peux pas marcher avec nous cette année? Il y a plusieurs façons d'aider, ta contribution est toujours appréciée et c'est grâce à toi que cette Marche est possible.
