Notice is hereby given that the FADOQ York River Senior Citizens Club will be holding their Annual General Meeting on Saturday, May 30th,2026 at 4:00pm at the Gaspe Royal Canadian Legion, 197 Jacques Cartier St. The meeting will be followed by a hot and cold buffet supper and live entertainment with Coco and Dodo. The cost of the event is $25.00 with a $10.00 refund for YRSC club members who attend the AGM. Draws for door prizes during the event.

Hello everyone,

There is a fun event for members of our club that is quickly approaching. That event is the Prediction Walk to be held on June 5th at the track behind the Gaspe Polyvalent. Below you will find a brief description of how you can participate.
Last year a number of our members participated and they had a fun time along with a delicious lunch offered by the FADOQ GIM and the FADOQ Croissant d’Or club.

Registrations are being taken at the FADOQ regional office in Gaspé or by contacting Louise Laviolette at [email protected] or 418-368-4328.
Deadline to register is May 26th. The cost is $20 per person but the club will reimburse $10 per participant from the York River club.

Thank you for your collaboration — let’s make this event a success again this year!

Description – Prediction Walk
The Prediction Walk is a fun activity where the goal is not to be the fastest, but the most accurate.
Participants must walk 1 km, either individually or as a team of four (you may register in both categories).
Before starting, you must predict the time you think it will take you to walk 1 km. At the finish line, if you walk faster or slower than your prediction, you receive a penalty.
The winner is the person (or team) who finishes closest to their predicted time.

York River Seniors Activities for the week of May 3rd, 2026

Monday, April 4th, Board of Directors Meeting, 1:30pm at York River Community Hall
Tuesday, May 5th, GAMES DAY 10am-2pm at York River Community Hall. Bring your lunch. As well there will possibly be members playing games just in the morning from 10am until noon. Drop by to check out what games are on and you might decide to join the fun.

Rebecca MacDonald from Eastern Quebec Literacy Council will be present at lunch hour to assist anyone with digital questions. Bring your devices if you need help.

Friday, May 8th, BASEBALL POCHE & CO****LE TOSS 1:30pm at the York River Community Hall
