It is with great sadness that we share the news that our former Formation Chief, now Lieutenant-Commander, David Bliss, MMM, CD has passed away.

LCdr Bliss dedicated his life to the service of Canada: first through a distinguished career in the Royal Canadian Navy and later as a steadfast leader within our Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers Group. Initially an Army Cadet with 1913-RCACC, underwater weapon specialist with the Navy, the Pacific Fleet Chief Petty Officer, Regional and Formation Chief, David’s unwavering commitment, professionalism, and mentorship left an indelible mark on our organization and on the lives of countless cadets, JCR, COATS, League members, and CAF colleagues across this country. He will be missed, but his legacy will be enduring.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to the Bliss family and to all those who knew David and are impacted by this loss.
