Today marks a historic step forward in addressing gender-based violence in Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Government of Newfoundland & Labrador has declared gender-based violence an epidemic and announced the creation of a Provincial GBV Task Force.

This announcement follows years of advocacy led by survivors, feminists, frontline workers, Elders, and community leaders across the province.

June is almost here!

Last year, I had the pleasure of providing free Pride swag and decorations to local businesses and organizations to help create spaces that are visibly welcoming, inclusive, and safe for everyone during Pride Month... And I’m excited to do it again this year!

If your workplace, office, storefront, or organization would like some Pride decorations, flags, stickers, pins, or other swag to help celebrate and show support, send me a message. Together, we can help make our community feel a little brighter, safer, and more inclusive for all. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Our community came together to honour and remember Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People on Red Dress Day.

Thank you to everyone who walked, shared space, listened, reflected, and stood in solidarity. Each red dress represents lives that should never be forgotten and families who continue to seek justice, answers, and healing.

We are grateful to see our community showing support, raising awareness, and helping keep these conversations alive. Reconciliation begins with education, action, and remembering.
