Get active and try something new! Bring the whole family for an afternoon of outdoor fun. Participants can try activities such as bocce ball, horseshoes, and other family-friendly games in a welcoming and relaxed environment. No experience necessary—just come ready to play!

Thank you to everyone who showed interest in our Grow Together seed swap and planting evening! 🌱

Gardening in Newfoundland can look a little different than in warmer climates, but there are still many things that grow well here. Herbs like basil, parsley, mint, and chives can often be grown indoors on a sunny windowsill, making them a great option for apartment dwellers or those without outdoor space, while crops like lettuce, peas, potatoes, carrots, and onions do well outdoors in our growing zone.

If you’re interested in learning more, consider connecting with the local community garden to share tips, seeds, and gardening advice with others in the community. The local library also has a variety of gardening books specific to Atlantic Canada that can help beginners get started Public Library

Gander ANC would like to thank everyone who joined us for the Big Bounce Party this past weekend!

It was a great turnout, and it was wonderful to see so many youth and families enjoying an active, fun evening together.

A big thank you to Zone Gander for hosting us, and to everyone who came out and made the event such a success.
