I had the distinct honour of inducting four new members into the Westport Lions Club: Lion Chantal La Ronde-Blair, Lion Lori Crawford, Lion Jeannette Harper, and Lion Riley Irwin. 🦁
These enthusiastic new members were welcomed through the beautiful Helen Keller Induction Ceremony. A moving tribute to Helen Keller was shared, reminding us all of our organization’s purpose and enduring legacy. The ceremony is both respectful and inspiring, emphasizing service, community, and continuity.
As part of the experience, the new members were blindfolded while meaningful readings were delivered by Lion Kim Kelly, Lion Craig Jackson, and President David Lowery. This powerful moment offers a brief glimpse into the challenges of blindness, symbolizing the importance of Lions’ ongoing commitment to vision care and support.
