AMES (Access to Media Education Society) is a registered charity (est. 1996) dedicated to using the media arts to support youth-led community development, encourage peer-based expression and education and promote social change. Founded in 1996, AMES is built on a commitment to accessibility, diversity, and inclusivity, and dedicated to using digital media and artistic collaboration to engage margi

nalized youth in personally and socially transformative storytelling practices. Over the past 19 years AMES has designed 35 distinct community arts-based initiatives with, and for, over 750 Indigenous, newcomer, LGBTQ, of colour, and multi-barriered youth. AMES programs connect participants with professional artists and digital arts training, to create powerful, authentic stories that then help to foster critically-engaged dialogue in a range of public settings.

The fruit of the wild strawberry is its true prize, being smaller and sweeter than commercial varieties and best enjoyed fresh, dried, or in baked goods. Additionally, the newly sprouted leaves are edible and frequently used to brew herbal teas or to help sweeten bitter medicines.

Join us this summer as a Video Producer or Educational Researcher and be part of storytelling that centres community, culture, and social impact.

If you’re passionate about art, technology, and social justice - and excited to create accessible, meaningful digital content, we want to hear from you.

-This role open to youth aged 15 to 30 (inclusive) who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected refugees.
