It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter Gillet, a long time volunteer with Branch 71. There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday June 14th at 11:00 here at the Gagetown Legion. Interment will be at the Anglican Church followed by a light luncheon back at the Legion. Walter dedicated much of his time in serving our community and managing many of the daily duties of our Legion. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered for his service to our country and our community. May you RIP. 🙏🌺❤️

Wow another great afternoon and dinner. The Legion would like to thank everyone who came out to enjoy the Veterans Dinner. We were pleased to have our MP John Williamson, MLA Don Monahan and newly elected Mayor Rob Stoney join us to celebrate the 82nd anniversary of D-Day. A huge shout out to Tammy, Wayne and Carson Belyea of Street Food Safari for once again giving back to our community and volunteering to cater this event. Tammy's homemade lasagna was a huge hit. We would also like to thank Randy Palmer, Doug Hall, Mel Murphy, Kim & Paul Crosland who also volunteered their time to make this celebration a big success. 🥰🫶🌺

82 years ago tonight soldiers of the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion were getting ready to parachute into Europe. 6. June 1944. The German invaders were dealt a significant blow beginning the withdrawal to Germany. Amazing dedication and courage by these warriors in fact all Canadian military ensured the complete Destruction of the threat posed by the N**i regime.
Tonight we are doing our Chase the Ace and 50/50. Come on out and spend some time with friends or make new ones. See you there!
