Back in April of this year, Hayden Richardson Hayden W Richardson , the 2025 recipient of the NBCF Scholarship, showcased his collection Palour at the 28th Annual NBCCD Fashion Show NBCCD Annual Fashion Event !
Hayden Richardson is a Canadian multidisciplinary fashion designer and fiber artist. His work explores the intersections of public and private identities through avante-garde, one-of-a-kind pieces. Hayden is fascinated by the ways in which clothing can create a fantasy, a dream, a surrealist world where the familiar becomes strange and the domestic becomes spectacular. Currently his work focuses on merging these domains; the private/the communal, the personal/the performative, the wearable/the immovable.
Hayden's collection, Parlour, is a 5-piece collection which reimagines domestic spaces and objects of q***r childhood fascination as extensions of the body. The collection pulls from turn of the 20th century and gothic revival elements and blends them with theatrical and sculptural silhouettes.
