As Bridget Pyke begins a new chapter in her career, we'd like to take a moment to celebrate the incredible impact she has had on Cancer Support.

As our first Program Leader, Bridget helped shape nutrition programming from the ground up. From hosting programs in the Nashwaaksis Y Service Club kitchen at Willie O'Ree Place to welcoming participants into our Wellness Kitchen at the Care & Support Centre, she has been a constant presence throughout the growth and evolution of our program.

Her knowledge, compassion, and dedication have helped countless participants gain confidence, find practical tools for healthy living, and feel supported throughout their cancer journey.

Thank you, Bridget, for being part of our story from the very beginning. We are so grateful for everything you have contributed and wish you all the best in your new role.

💙 Join us for the Heartfelt Connections program TODAY! 💙

One of the most meaningful parts of Heartfelt Connections is the opportunity to shift focus and help others through acts of kindness, creativity, and generosity.

Check out the organizations and initiatives we have supported:
😀Fredericton Rocks - Created kindness rocks for our local trails
💟The Salvation Army Fredericton - Collected menstrual products supporting period poverty
💌Horizon Health Network/Réseau de santé Horizon - Decorated hearts and wrote encouraging messages for patients in the DECRH Oncology Department
📖Bibliothèque publique de Fredericton Public Library - Decorated wooden bookmarks
🪢Imprint Youth Association - Made friendship bracelets
🐾Fredericton SPCA - Made cat toys and held a donation drive

📆 TODAY, we're supporting Feed the Lions - Public Page and FHS Kats' Kitchen by collecting shelf stable food & snacks, school supplies, and hygiene products. These programs help ensure students have access to the essentials they need to start the school year feeling supported and ready to learn.

📍 Chalmers Foundation Care & Support Centre, 25 Alison Blvd
⏰ Drop in anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Together, let's spread a little kindness today. 💙

☀️ A change of scenery for Stay Strong!

Earlier this week, Stay Strong leaders Samantha and Jessica took participants outdoors for some circuit workouts at Willie O'Ree Place. The group enjoyed fresh air, some extra laughs, and the opportunity to get to know each other while tackling the exercises together. And if the rumors are true... the session ended with a friendly snowball fight! ❄️😂

At Stay Strong, it's not just about exercise, it's about building strength, confidence, and community.

A heartfelt thank you to Max Health Institute - Fredericton for their generous donation of REP Bands to support our Stay Strong exercise program. These bands are already helping participants build strength, improve mobility, and stay active throughout their cancer journey.

📸 Pictured is Wendy using one of the new REP Bands during Stay Strong. Wendy is navigating life after surgery, continuing to build strength for the next phase of her treatment. The bands are a perfect fit for her rehabilitation and something she can continue to use at home.

Community partners like Max Health help make moments like this possible. Together, we're creating strength through community and supporting individuals impacted by cancer every step of the way. 💙
