📣 Office Closure – July 1st

Turning Leaf Foundation will be closed on Tuesday, July 1st.

While Canada Day is marked as a national holiday, we acknowledge that for many Indigenous Peoples, this day is not a celebration. It is a painful reminder of colonization, residential schools, systemic injustice, and the ongoing harm faced by First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities.

At Turning Leaf, we stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities. We recognize the importance of listening to the truth, honouring lived experiences, and working toward reconciliation not just in words, but in action.

We encourage our community to take this day to reflect, learn, and engage in meaningful dialogue about our shared history and how we can be part of a more just future.

School might be out for the summer but that doesn't mean we can't get set up for success for the upcoming year!

With the support of RBC, we are thrilled to announce that applications for our Backpack Program for the 2025 school year are now open! 🎉Our Backpack Program is open to all Indigenous students with priority being given to urban Indigenous students.

📌 Heads up: There are limited spaces available and applying doesn’t guarantee a spot. All successful applicants will receive an email from a member of the Under One Sky team on July 9th with pick up directions.
