Chalmers Foundation

Chalmers Foundation Together, we bring comfort, compassion, and stronger care to our community.

Proud to support innovation and well-being across our hospital and healthcare partners. The Chalmers Foundation hosts a number of events throughout the year to support their annual campaigns; projects which work to address the current needs of our hospital. Past projects have included the establishment of a new Cardiac Diagnostics Unit, the purchase of new bedside monitors for the Emergency Room and the purchase of a state-of-the-art digital mamography unit.

Congratulations to the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation on 20 years at its Priestman Street location!

For the past two decades, this expanded facility has allowed more patients and families from across New Brunswick to access specialized rehabilitation services, innovative programs, and state-of-the-art care closer to home. The move to Priestman Street marked an important step forward, creating more space and opportunities to support individuals on their journey toward greater independence and quality of life.

Chalmers Foundation is proud to support programs and initiatives that enhance the rehabilitation experience at Stan Cassidy. Congratulations on this milestone and the impact it continues to have throughout our region. πŸ’™

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Radiothon!

No matter the amount you gave, every single dollar means the world. Your generosity directly funds free, community-based programs for individuals living with a cancer experience, and that is something truly priceless.

We are so grateful for this incredible community. None of this would be possible without you.πŸ’›

Last week, Debbie & Mark Sangster had the pleasure of recognizing Dallas Desjardins, Manager of Wolastoq Casino (St. Mary’s Entertainment Centre), and Kyle Paul, Director of the Bingo Hall, for 25 years of sponsorship and support of the Chalmers Foundation.

For a quarter century, their partnership has helped strengthen care and support in our community, and we are incredibly grateful for their ongoing generosity and commitment.

Thank you, Dalla, Kyle, and Wolastoq Casino, for standing with us and helping make a difference for so many individuals and families over the years. πŸ’™

You may notice the masks in this photo - Dallas and Kyle were both under the weather, and we appreciated their thoughtfulness in helping keep everyone healthy.

We are deeply honoured to receive a $10,000 grant from the Fredericton Community Foundation's 2026 Philanthropy in Action Award β€” directed personally by this year's recipient, Lois Walker Gillin, to our Hybrid OR campaign.

Lois has spent a lifetime giving back. As a former nurse, a dedicated volunteer, and a champion for causes across our community, she knows firsthand what it means to care for others. Directing her award toward advanced surgical care at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital is a reflection of that same compassion she has carried throughout her career.

The Hybrid OR will give our surgical teams the cutting-edge technology needed to treat the most complex cases β€” right here at home, for our neighbours and loved ones. Gifts like Lois' bring us one step closer to making that a reality.

To Lois and the Fredericton Community Foundation: thank you. Your generosity inspires us all πŸ’™

If Lois' story moves you, we invite you to join her. Every donation to the Hybrid OR campaign is an investment in the health of our community. Visit chalmersfoundation.com/hybrid-or to give today.

For many children, riding a bike is a milestone. For kids with complex physical needs, it can be life-changing.

Easton Pelow recently received a customized adapted bike through the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation's Bikes N' Trikes program β€” made possible by a generous donation from Brad Coughlin at Lawton's Home Healthcare The only program of its kind in Canada, Bikes N' Trikes provides pediatric patients with a custom-fitted bicycle at no cost to their family.

Thank you, Brad and Lawton's Home Healthcare, for making this moment possible.
Moments like Easton's are made possible by donors who believe every child deserves the chance to thrive.

You can help support the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation and help us keep programs like Bikes N' Trikes going by donating today: chalmersfoundation.com/donate-now

This is community-powered healthcare at its bestπŸ’›The Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation turned a resource challenge into a learning opportunity β€” and nearly 100 students showed up to make it happen.

This is exactly the kind of leadership and innovation Chalmers Foundation is proud to support.

$235,368.18. That's our final number and it represents so much more than dollars raised.

This community showed up and then some. To every sponsor, donor, volunteer, and person who shared their story on air during this year's Radiothon: thank you. You remind us why we do this work.

This year's Radiothon for Cancer Support β€” held live at Regent Mall with our friends at Fredericton's HOT 93.1 and Fredericton's New Country 92-3 β€” came together because of this community. Every dollar raised goes directly to support the Chalmers Foundation Cancer Support, providing free, community-based care and connection for people with lived cancer experience and their support persons right here in our region.

Together, we are building a caring tomorrow πŸ’›

We're proud to partner with Lifeline Medical Alert Service Canada and this one truly gives back in every way.

Through our partnership, $5 from every monthly Lifeline subscription set up through 1-888-222-7565 is donated to Chalmers Foundation. That means the support you invest in yourself helps fund care for your whole community.

Employees of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital also receive a free upgrade to fall detection services β€” because the people who care for our community deserve to feel cared for too.

Right now, Lifeline is also offering two free months of service when you sign up β€” but only until October 31, 2026, so don't wait.

For more information or to get started, call 1-888-222-7565.
