Congratulations to Sristhi Chopra, recipient of a well deserved Masters in Business Administration degree, from the University of New Brunswick. Sristhi spent a full year with the Fredericton Botanic Garden Association, through a UNB placement.
She demonstrated her marketing skills on an almost daily basis and taught us a lot! She brought in sponsors for the Plant Sale, made our social media numbers soar, set up multiple, profitable workshops, brought on new retail discounts for members, arranged multiple media interviews, set up a tv series on the Garden, last summer, had snacks donated for events - the list goes on and on.
We’d love to keep Sristhi, but sadly it’s not in our budget. She’s still doing some volunteering for us, but it won’t be the same as seeing her smiling face everyday, and listening to her great ideas.
We may have lost her as a colleague, unless we receive a large, unexpected gift, but we’ll never lose her as a friend.
