Fredericton Botanic Garden Association The FBGA is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to establish a public garden for all to enjoy. In 1992 a Local Improvement Association was incorporated.

In 1989, inspired by their common passion for botany and horticulture, a group of local residents formed the Fredericton Botanic Garden Association (FBGA), dedicated to establishing a Botanic Garden in Fredericton. One year later, in 1990, the City of Fredericton dedicated a property at the west end of Odell Park and the Fredericton Botanic Garden was born. Since its establishment, the Garden has

evolved through the joint efforts of the members of the FBGA and the City. It consolidates the interest of the parties in the creation and improvement of the site. It defines responsibilities of each group with respect to the Garden, its maintenance and growth.

Come experience art, nature and storytelling in the Garden.

From September 6–20, the Fredericton Botanic Garden will host Riding the Wind II, an interactive public art installation featuring 30 hand-carved Monarch butterflies by New Brunswick artist Gary Crosby of Darkwood Woodcarving. 🦋

Come explore this unique blend of art, nature, storytelling, and education throughout the Garden and learn more about the remarkable Monarch butterfly and its journey across New Brunswick.

Join us on Saturday, August 22, from 10:00 am–3:00 pm for a Drop-in Garden Tool Cleaning & Maintenance Service with Vic Dunphy at the Fredericton Botanic Garden.

Bring 2–3 larger garden tools and learn how to clean and maintain them yourself with guidance from Vic. 🛠️🌱

Our Day Lily Garden is looking a bit unkempt at the moment, due takeover efforts by some of the plants. Not to worry, it's scheduled for some hardcore maintenance in the near future (watch for volunteer opportunities to be posted). LIFE IN THE GARDEN: We are so excited; Monarch Butterfly caterpillars abound in our Pollinator Garden! In the first photo, a Common Milkweed plant has been stripped clean, demonstrating the little caterpiller's voracious appetite. In the photo on the bottom right, chomping is underway on a new plant.

Top right (look closely) a Robin protectively guards what is likely the last clutch of the year. The second photo shows the newly hatched offspring. Aren't they pretty? Despite the detail, the photo was taken a safe distance from the nest.

Our floral displays are lovely, but keep your eyes open in the Fredericton Botanic Garden. You might be surprised by what you see.

The three or four different sizes allow you to customize a nice random pattern. Selling as a lot for $8000, cash and carry. If not sold in a couple weeks, we may consider selling smaller lots.
