🚀✨ Since July 7th 2025, the AfroCanadian Network of Immigrant Communities (RACI) officially launched the “Code & Play: Summer Kids Coding Bootcamp” 🎉💻
🗓 8 weeks of educational adventure (Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm) to introduce children aged 6 to 10 to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) 🔬🤖, through fun, interactive, and age-appropriate activities.
🎯 Our mission: Spark scientific curiosity 🌟, boost logical thinking 🧠, nurture creativity 🎨, and develop digital skills 💡… from an early age!
🧩 Daily activities include:
🎨 Creative drawing & coloring
➕ Fun mathematics
💻 Coding with Scratch / Scratch Jr
🤖 Simple robotics (Bee-Bot, Blue-Bot, Ozobot)
🎯 Free educational games
🛠 Engineering activities & LEGO
🔄 Rotating workshops in small groups
📺 Educational cartoons, free dance 💃, outdoor games ☀️
👩🏫 Guided with passion by Matéo and Arlee, and under the dedicated supervision of Mrs. Patricia ONANA (Project Coordinator) ❤️, our young explorers learn through play, support each other, and develop an endless curiosity.
💬 The smiles, bursts of laughter, and pride in the children’s eyes already show the success of this program… and the best is yet to come! 🚀🌟
🙏 Special thanks to Employment and Social Development Canada through its Summer Jobs Program, as well as to the National Research Council Canada, for their generous financial support 💙. Thanks to them, this initiative comes to life and is already inspiring the next generation of innovators.
✨ With RACI, every child has the opportunity to dream, learn, and create… because the future starts now! 🌍💡
