Breakfast – This Saturday, September 5th from 8:00 to 11:00am. Sponsored by Parkland. All welcome! The 50/50 winner last month was Gordon F. who shared in a $252 pot.

Backgammon - New day and Time- Tuesday, September 8th at 2:00pm. No charge.

Jazz Fitness – Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30pm. A fun way to stay active!! All fitness levels welcome! $5 per class – no need to register, just drop in. Facilitator: Deborah Stewart

Scrabble Tournament- Saturday, September 12th at 1:00 pm. Cost $5. Minimum two (2) tables required. Call or sign-up at the Centre

Lunch around Freddy- Friday, September 18th at 11:30 am. Mingler’s Pub- 203 Restigouche Rd, Oromocto. Please sign up by noon on September 17th. Let us know if you need a ride or if you can take passengers. We will try to match up rides when indicated.

American Mahjongg: TWO-DAY Workshop - Saturday, September 19th 10:00am to 4:00pm and Sunday, September 20th 10:00am to 2:00pm. Beginners and experienced players welcome! Bring your game (if you have one). Lessons offered. Sign-up at the Centre. Brown Bag Lunch. Muffins, Cookies, and Tea/Coffee available. $15.00 for the 2 Days. Door Prizes!!

Day of Bridge – Saturday, September 26th. Doors open at 9:45, play begins at 10:00am – 2:30pm. Cost; $20 includes your lunch. Prizes! Please register at the Centre.

Calendar Changes: Acoustic Jam on Mondays is at 3:15 not 3:45. Core Strength & Mobility is not happening in September. This program is returning in October.
Friends of Stepping Stone Senior Centre – We launch our annual fundraising campaign on September 1st every year. It is the opportunity for Members and the general public to support the existence of a Centre offering programs and activities for seniors in the Great Fredericton Area. You can make your contribution in cash or cheque, with an e-transfer, or now we can take Debit! You will receive a tax-deductible receipt for a donation of $10 or more.

Parking – During the Frex (Sept. 7-13) parking is at a premium in the afternoons. The Centre’s parking lot is the small one to the east of the Centre. We have prepared signs for our members to place on their dash indicating they’re members of the Centre. Pick one up at the front desk. Centre Volunteers will be at the entrance to make sure that only our members park there.

Basil, Thyme, Lemon Balm – The Gardening Committee invites our Members to harvest the herbs that are ready!

You Love Our Jam... We'd Love Your Jars! We'd love to give the jars a second life! We're looking for 250 ml jars. If you have any, and bring them in, we'd really appreciate it.

Members! You can rent the Centre for family celebrations and pay 50% of the rental fee!

Community Health:

Our Board of Directors asks you to please use the hand sanitizer available on entering the Centre. Masks are available. If you are able to, please assist with the sanitizing of chairs and equipment used in your program. Together, let’s work to keep you and our Centre community healthy.

NBCC now offers free workshops, at various locations across the province, where nursing students will teach you and caregivers helpful skills. You'll learn together how to find, use, and organize care and services for older adults in New Brunswick. Here is the link Workshops. You do need to register for the workshops. There are spots available online and in Oromocto.
