Book Club – June 15 | 1:00 PM
Join us for a warm and meaningful Book Club at Stepping Stone Senior Centre as we explore Love Stories of Later Life one chapter each week. Share thoughts, memories, and conversations in a welcoming space where every story matters and new connections begin through the joy of reading together.

Table Escape Room – June 16 | 2:15 PM–3:15 PM
Join us for a fun and interactive Table Escape Room at Stepping Stone Senior Centre! Solve the mystery of the missing necklace and secret family recipe through teamwork, clues, memory games, and laughter. A cozy adventure filled with puzzles, storytelling, connection, and exciting challenges awaits everyone!

Life-Sized Games – June 17 | 1:00 PM
Step into a giant game of Snakes and Ladders at Stepping Stone Senior Centre! Roll the dice, climb ladders, avoid snakes, and enjoy laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition. This life-sized classic brings movement, excitement, and childhood memories together for a fun-filled afternoon everyone can enjoy!

Crafts with the SSSC Craft Group – June 18 | 1:30 PM
Join the SSSC Craft Group at Stepping Stone Senior Centre for a relaxing and enjoyable Reverse Colouring experience. Explore a unique and creative art activity that encourages imagination, self-expression, and mindfulness in a fun and supportive setting. Whether you are trying reverse colouring for the first time or simply looking to unwind, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, share ideas, and create something uniquely your own. All skill levels are welcome!

Mystery Puzzle – June 18 | 10:30 AM
Step aboard the Titanic for an exciting Murder Mystery Puzzle Challenge at Stepping Stone Senior Centre! Work together to assemble clues, solve the mystery, and uncover secrets hidden within the puzzle. A fun-filled adventure of teamwork, storytelling, problem-solving, and suspense awaits!

Information Session- Stroke Navigator - Wednesday June 10th at 3:00 pm. Presented by Lisa Lewis, Stroke Navigator with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick. Her presentation will provide an overview of stroke, including the different types of stroke, stroke risk factors, and prevention strategies. She will discuss the Stroke Navigation Program including Offering Support, Providing Education and Helping Make Connections. Free and open to the public!

SSSC Social - Trivia Night – Friday, June 12th. Doors open at 6:00pm and “quizzing” starts at 6:30pm. There will be snacks. Free and open to the public.

Scrabble Tournament- Saturday, June 13th at 1:00pm. Cost $5. Minimum two (2) tables required. Call or sign-up at the Centre!

Mark Your Calendar- The Centre’s Musical Groups are holding their Fundraising Concert on Sunday, June 21st at 2:00 pm at the Fredericton Cultural Centre - Admittance by Donation. Please spread the word and join us for some great music and support the Centre at the same time. There will be cookies!

Tour of Ste Anne’s Court, Retirement Living: Tour of Ste Anne’s Court, Retirement Living: Ste. Anne’s Court is offering a free lunch and tour of the facility for 10 members of Stepping Stone Senior Centre on Wednesday, June 10 on a first come first served basis. Donations Needed - The Wagon Outreach program, as the temperatures rise, is asking for donations of water and juice boxes. These items may be placed in the bin by the front desk of Stepping Stone Senior Centre.

Yard/Bake Sale – Thank You! To all who played a role in a very successful Yard/Bake Sale. Your contributions of sale items; baked goodies, renting tables, volunteering your time and
talents covering sale tables, assisting with set up, greeting those coming in was a great collective effort. Your efforts and commitment raised $715 for the Centre. Great Job!

The Thomists Big Band – This Friday, June 5 at 7:30 pm. Admission by donation to Fredericton Cultural Centre, 28 Saunders St.

Mindfulness and Conscious Living Silent Day Retreat – Sunday, June 14, 8:45 am-4:00 pm. By donation. The Iris Center, 160 Sunset Drive. This is an opportunity to come together with like-minded people to explore yourself and the natural environment at the Iris Center. Over the course of 7 hours in silence, we will experience various guided and self-guided mindfulness practices with a cyclic flow through stillness and movement practices including mindful eating and listening. Dress appropriately for weather and movement, bring boots to explore the property, and a bag lunch and fluids. For more information and to register: [email protected]

Food Smart is a monthly food buying program. You order a bag (large, reusable) on the first Thursday of the month and pick up your bag the second Thursday of the month. Order by phone or email and pick up in the parking lot beside the Stepping Stone Senior Centre at 11 am. You pay $15 for a bag worth at least $30 worth of produce. Contact Mary Farrell at 506-455-1251 or email [email protected] to order.

Information Session – Service Canada – Wednesday, June 3rd at 3:00 pm. Come learn about CPP, OAS, GIS, Dental Plan, Passports, and much more! Everyone is welcome! No charge!! The presenter, Sylvie Cummings, will be able to help a few individuals with applications and renewals.

The Wagon Outreach Program- Started and run by Sunday Gee, with the community support, is celebrating it’s one year anniversary June 3rd. This means that every week, no matter the weather conditions, Sunday and her wagon friends provide treats, beverages and necessities to the people who need them. It is a mission of love. The Wagon Outreach Program wishes to heartily thank the members of SSSC for its incredible support. Thank you. We have now a second wagon! SSSC will continue to accept donations for the month of June for this initiative.

High blood pressure is common, often has no symptoms, and is one of the most important modifiable risk factors for heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, and dementia. Join family physician Dr. Doug Oliver to review what blood pressure numbers mean, what has changed in the recent Hypertension Canada guidelines, and how high blood pressure is diagnosed and treated today.
