New Brunswick Paramedic Memorial Inc. The monument and site will showcase to the people of New Brunswick and its visitors, the passion and dedication of all past, present and future paramedics.

This ongoing tribute and site will be a place to hold public ceremonies yearly where family, friends and colleagues can remember their loves ones and honour the dedication and sacrifice they made while servicing New Brunswick. Mission Statement of New Brunswick Paramedic Memorial

To pay tribute to the paramedics of New Brunswick who have fallen in the line-of-duty and death related to their work.

In addition, the monument will be educational for the public and reflection for those men and women who have dedicated their lives and careers to protect the health and safety of all New Brunswickers and the challenges paramedics face daily. Paramedics see human suffering up close and sometimes that becomes challenging to cope with the aftermath. Through recognized support programs/training/education; we aim to help these men and women when they need it most.

Déclaration de la mission du Mémorial des Paramédics du Nouveau-Brunswick

Pour rendre hommage aux paramédics du Nouveau-Brunswick qui sont tombés dans l'exercice de leurs fonctions et dont le décès est lié à leur travail. Le monument et le site montreront à la population du Nouveau-Brunswick et à ses visiteurs la passion et le dévouement de tous les paramédics passés, présents et futurs. Cet hommage continu et ce site seront un lieu de tenue de cérémonies publiques annuelles où la famille, les amis et les collègues pourront se souvenir de leurs êtres chers et honorer le dévouement et le sacrifice qu'ils ont faits au service du Nouveau-Brunswick. De plus, le monument sera éducatif pour le public et reflétera les hommes et les femmes qui ont consacré leur vie et leur carrière à protéger la santé et la sécurité de tous les Néo-Brunswickois ainsi que les défis auxquels les Paramédics sont confrontés quotidiennement. Les Paramédics voient de près la souffrance humaine et il devient parfois difficile de faire face aux conséquences. Par le biais de programmes de soutien/formation/éducation reconnus ; notre objectif est d'aider ces hommes et ces femmes lorsqu'ils en ont le plus besoin

My apologize for my dress, it definitely takes from the elegance of the monument but I was waiting for a run event to start.

This was the first time I seen the monument in person since it was put on the ground and couldn't resist posting something to acknowledge it.

So many emotions running through me.

This was 6 years in the making. Over those 6 years, I heard many points of view from Paramedics regarding the "need" of this project.

I heard, it's a rock, it's a piece of stone. It will change nothing to the profession. I also heard this will be great.

I seen what it could do for the profession. I seen it as a place to honor past, present and future paramedics., Their commitment, dedication and sadly, sacrifice.

Our board may have not seen it to the end but if we had not started it, it wouldn't now exist. Robin, Shane York and Judy.

I wish Yvon Bourque were here to see it.
