Victims of distribution of intimate images or videos, particularly those who are underage, can contact https://takeitdown.ncmec.org/ directly and participating social media platforms will have photos and videos removed without police assistance. Participating platforms include: Meta, Pornhub, Clips4sale, TikTok, Yubo, Snapchat, and OnlyFans.

Pets can also be affected by intimate partner violence.

It has been found that pets are generally at risk of being harmed in situations where there is IPV, one study found that as many as 80% of survey respondents reported that their pet had been subjected to violence at some point during an incident of IPV.

Last year, through our Community Grants Program, the Fergusson Foundation awarded $40,000 in grants to organizations across Atlantic Canada providing services to those impacted by violence and abuse. Thank you to the generous donors who make this program possible.
