It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Randy Dickinson, a lifelong champion of Camp Rotary and of the disability community across New Brunswick.
Randy’s connection to Camp Rotary began as a camper, later becoming a staff member, Camp Director, and eventually Executive Director of Easter Seals New Brunswick. His impact on our camp is woven into its history. His vision helped shape Camp Rotary into the magical and accessible place so many know and love today.
But Randy’s legacy was never just about buildings or projects. It was about people. He believed deeply in inclusion, dignity, and opportunity for everyone. Year after year, Randy and his wife Karen continued to support Camp Rotary through visits, donations, advocacy, encouragement, and unwavering belief in the importance of camp. His generosity and care touched generations of campers and staff alike.
Beyond camp, Randy was a remarkable advocate for accessibility and human rights throughout New Brunswick. His leadership helped shape organizations, initiatives, and conversations that made our province more inclusive for countless individuals and families.
To many, Randy was a mentor, a friend, a storyteller, and a steady supporter. To Camp Rotary, he was truly a legend in every sense of the word.
We are incredibly grateful for everything Randy gave to this camp and to the wider community. His legacy will continue to live on around every campfire, in every friendship formed at camp, and in the countless lives made better because he cared so deeply.
Our thoughts are with Karen, his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. 💙
