Manarat Association for Community Services extends its deepest gratitude and appreciation to our esteemed sister, Asmaa Abdelkader, who will be returning to her beloved Egypt in a few days, leaving Fredericton after years of dedicated service and support to the community. She was a constant presence at every charitable event and initiative.

Asmaa joined Manarat Association's since its start in January 2025. Throughout this period and as a board member, Asmaa played a pivotal role as a loyal and trusted advisor to Manarat’s .
Despite her family responsibilities, she never missed one event.

Asmaa, thank you for being kind and supportive friend, a confidante, and always understanding, shouldering the pressures of community work with us and demonstrating love and understanding towards everyone.

No matter how much we thank you, it will not reflect how we feel towards you.

😔Today, Sudan faces a devastating war. Millions have been displaced, countless lives lost, and over 65% of the population pushed into poverty, with many struggling to survive.

❤️🇸🇩In response, the 17th Halal Food Fundraiser presents a special edition, “In Love of Sudan.” We invite you to come support Sudanese newcomers and refugees in Fredericton - enjoy authentic food, celebrate their culture, and encourage their talents in cooking and traditional henna art.

🇵🇸🍁This edition also continues to support humanitarian aid in Gaza and local charities in Fredericton, bringing our community together in solidarity and hope.

Speaking of a great weekend — this Sunday, the Manarat Association for Community Services is hosting The 16th Halal Food Fundraiser right here in our multipurpose event space! 🍽️

🕑 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
📍 The Cultural Centre – 28 Saunders Street, Fredericton

Enjoy authentic Middle Eastern halal cuisine, henna artistry, face painting, and a kids' corner with games, popcorn, and fun costumes. Your participation directly supports humanitarian aid for families in Gaza. Bring cash and your appetite!

🅿️ Heads up — the April Home Show is also taking place this weekend, so the parking lot may be busier than usual. Please plan accordingly!
