Standing Together Against Racism

On April 12, Chinese Cultural Association of New Brunswick (CCANB) hosted an inspiring anti-racism public lecture led by our member, Ms. Xiuming Shi with two sessions tailored for youth and adults.

Through real-life examples, Ms. Shi helped us understand what microaggressions are, how to recognize them, and how they impact everyday life. More importantly, she shared practical ways we can respond—as a bystander, a recipient, or even by reflecting on our own actions.

Her message was clear:
Don’t stay silent. Don’t stand by. Be part of the change.

We are proud to see young voices in our community speaking up against racism. Change starts with each of us—let’s work together to build a more inclusive and respectful community.

CCANB gratefully acknowledges the support of the Canadian Race Relations Foundation, with funding provided by the Government of Canada.
