To Members of Fredericton Fish & Game,

our first meeting of the fall season is scheduled for Tuesday, 8 September, at 7pm at Exit Realty on Saint Mary's Street. Our guest speaker will Ken MacDonald of the new Capital Longbeards turkey hunting group. Ken will speak on this new club and provide some useful information on hunting this crafty game bird. We will have coffee and snacks, and will be drawing for a number of great prizes.

Hope to see you there and we welcome new members so bring along a hunting buddy.

Other important announcements for members include a reminder of the O'Dell Collectors and Shooters Gun Show that is happening this weekend at the Fredericton Inn.. The show is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Our club will be operating a booth at the show where we will be selling raffle tickets on a turkey hunting package that contains 8 items.


Similarly, the FREX will be happening all next week and our club will be also be operating a booth there. So, when you stop by to get your Dippy Dogs, pop in to see our booth and our prize package.

Folks,

Every year, we strive to provide an exceptional hunting package and what a package it is!!

For this year, we have chosen a Turkey package.

We are kicking off our annual event at the Fredericton Motor Inn for the gun show which runs Saturday, September 05th from 9:00 am- 5:00 pm and September 06th from 9:00 am-2:00 pm.

We will also be at the Fredericton Exhibition and you can find us in the Capital Exhibit Centre from September 07th until September 13th.

Our Turkey Package includes the following:
12 gauge Stoeger M3500 Semi- auto shotgun, 1 box of Wi******er Double X turkey load, Northen Flight shotgun case, Pursuit turkey decoys,RedHead turkey decoy bag, Rivers Edge friction call, HS Raspy Old Hen box call and Cabela’s camo face mask.

The Fredericton Fish and Game Association extends our sincere condolences to the family of one of our past members, John Eldridge.

John was extremely active in promoting our sporting life to youth and led many activities.

Didn’t get drawn for moose?? We may be able to help with that!

The draw for the NBWF moose tag will be made on 5 August. So, if you were not lucky in the provincial draw, you still have time to put in for the NBWF tag. Raffle tickets are $10 each, and the winner gets to choose any zone in which to hunt.

Also, our club is selling tickets on a very nice fly rod package - 9' 8wt Sage rod with Orvis Battenkill reel with floating line and extra spool with sinking line. Tickets are $5 each and the draw will be made on 15 August.

To Fredericton F&G members,

our next monthly meeting (and final meeting before September) is scheduled for Tuesday (9 June) from 7-9pm. Our guest speaker will be Murdock MacAllister and his presentation will be on shad fishing. He will talk about the gear and techniques required to successfully fish for this species. Murdock's presentation is very timely since the shad run on the Miramichi is just about to start.

If you are interested in accompanying us on a shad safari, we'll be planning some in the next week or two and will send out notices.

We be serving coffee and cookies at the meeting, and will also be drawing for some prizes including some shad flies.

Also, this is a reminder that our Killarney Lake Youth Fishing Tournament is happening on Saturday from 9am until 1pm. This is the biggest event of the year for our club, and we rely on lots of members to assist us. Please come by for the morning and we'll have a job for you.
