To Fredericton F&G members,

our next monthly meeting (and final meeting before September) is scheduled for Tuesday (9 June) from 7-9pm. Our guest speaker will be Murdock MacAllister and his presentation will be on shad fishing. He will talk about the gear and techniques required to successfully fish for this species. Murdock's presentation is very timely since the shad run on the Miramichi is just about to start.

If you are interested in accompanying us on a shad safari, we'll be planning some in the next week or two and will send out notices.

We be serving coffee and cookies at the meeting, and will also be drawing for some prizes including some shad flies.

Also, this is a reminder that our Killarney Lake Youth Fishing Tournament is happening on Saturday from 9am until 1pm. This is the biggest event of the year for our club, and we rely on lots of members to assist us. Please come by for the morning and we'll have a job for you.

To Fish & Game Members,

Our next monthly meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 12 May, at 7pm at Exit Realty on St. Mary's Street. Our guest speaker will be Dave Sawler and he'll do a presentation on his latest trout fishing trip to South America.

We'll be serving refreshments at the meeting and drawing for a number of cool prizes. The meeting is open to all, so bring a friend.

The next Fish & Game meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 14 April at 7pm at Exit Realty on Saint Mary's Street.

Our guest speaker will be Clara Thaysen who works as an Environmental Specialist for the provincial government, specializing in wetland science and bird surveys to support infrastructure projects. Clara's presentation is entitled “Breaking the Ice: Science and Adventure in the Canadian Arctic.”

As usual, we'll be serving coffee and treats, and will be drawing for a number of exciting prizes. Bring along a guest.

The next monthly meeting of Fredericton F&G is scheduled for Tuesday, 10 March, at 7pm at Exit Realty. Our guest speaker will be Jason Willcox , president of the Saint John River Chapter of Muskies Canada. Jason will talk about the gear required to fish for muskies, as well as the various fishing tournaments that are held in our area. Jason is a registered guide and is also able to answer questions members might have on the various other sport fisheries.

The meeting is open to all, so bring along a buddy. We will be serving refreshments, and also be drawing for a number of prizes.
