Fredericton Society of Saint Andrew

Fredericton Society of Saint Andrew The Fredericton Society of Saint Andrew supports Scottish Culture by hosting events like the Feast of Saint Andrew and Robbie Burns Night.

We also support other Scottish organizations within the Greater Fredericton Area. The Fredericton Society of Saint Andrew (FSSA) was established in 1825 "to afford relief to indigent Natives of Scotland, their Widows, and all connected with Scotsmen by descent". Today the FSSA supports local Scottish culture by hosting the Feast of Saint Andrew in November and Robbie Burns Night in January each ye

ar. We also celebrate Tartan Day in April and operate the genealogy tent at the NB Highland games in July. We also have monthly meetings where guest speakers discuss various topics related to Scottish culture and history. Through the FSSA Scholarship Fund we support deserving students to pursue their education at the University of New Brunswick. As well, our FSSA Scottish Cultural Fund supports local Scottish organizations and events.
