This past Saturday Hiram Lodge hosted it’s annual Camp Goodtimes fundraising dinner. We also had the opportunity to recognize Helen Travers and Glenna Coe, two of the widows of Hiram Lodge with their Widows Pins accompanied by their daughters. Thank you to all who took the time to assist with the set up, serving, and clean up. A special thanks goes out to WB Dort who always takes the time to lead the food prep, cooking and kitchen direction and to those who sold and purchased tickets. And a final thanks goes out to the Chicken Board of NB for their continued support to our fundraiser over the last 30 years.

Good Morning, as mentioned in a previous post please see below from from WB Stephen Chase on his donation of the plaque seen in the photo and your chance of to win it.

Background: The plaque consists of a rare cast brass Masonic square & compasses mounted on a Honduras mahogany disc. The brass was created by Lunenburg Foundries in Lunenburg, NS and provided to the Lodge in a raffle 20 some years ago by WB Eddie Kinley (whose family owned the foundry). I won that raffle. I am pleased to put the casting together with the mahogany disc that I made recently, for the purpose of the current raffle.

The Raffle: The current raffle is intended to enable Hiram Lodge #6 to replace its aging regalia.

Ticket sales: There are 500 numbered tickets in total. The draw would be held at the June 2026 communication on 4 June. The goal is to sell all 500 to Masons, anywhere (not just in NB District 6)

The plaque is available for travel and display. Just let me know if you want it. While I am away in Feb-March I shall leave it with RWB Joel.

We are assisted in oversight of the raffle by RWB Kevin Wilson, RWB Joel MacDonald, WB Kristian Moore and myself. These brothers will have additional tickets to help spread them to other Lodges in their travels. (you can help too). The main thing is maintaining control of tickets and money collected as administration is a necessary pain.

It was a evening of Brotherhood and Fellowship this past Wednesday as the WM and his Officers for 2026 were sworn in. Thank you to all officers from 2025 for all of your hard work, and to the countless other Brothers who stepped in to serve where needed and to keep our Fraternity moving forward. Congratulations to all of those elected and nominated to serve in 2026.

We hope to see you this evening for the installation of Hiram Officers for 2026. Please note as per the Secretary’s email concerning our normal meal. This month it will be only refreshments at 6:30. Following the meeting there will be a get together for a social time with light snacks.

It was a good day at Hiram Lodge #6 as we raised three worthy Brothers to the sublime degree of a Master Mason. Congratulations to Candiates and to Officers who filled the chairs, and PMs who filled several roles during the degree for a hob well done. Thanks for all of the hard work this year Brothers. It was a great way to finish out the year.
