Hello Community, 🏳️‍🌈

As a board, we thought best to introduce the team working hard behind the scenes to ensure the Pride Parade and Festival are the best event possible.

This is an effort to step out of our logo and share who we are.

Slide through the pictures to meet your Fierté Fredericton Pride board this year and learn a little about our roles.

Antoinette and Santiago (Co-Chairs), Jonathan (Interim Treasurer), and Sarry (Executive Administrator & Accessibility Director).

As a volunteer board, our goal this year is centred on growth and unification (rather than division).

We believe deeply in keeping the spirit of Pride thriving, and we are actively working to expand Fredericton Pride to make it everything our beautiful community deserves.

Bringing a full scale Pride parade and festival to life is a massive, multi-layered project with a lot of moving parts that take time, care, and dedication to build properly.

Because our vision for expanding Pride is so big, we know it cannot be done in a vacuum, it takes a village!

If you share this passion for growing our local Pride movement, we would love to welcome you to the team. 🌈

We are actively looking for community members to join the board or sign up as volunteers to help us steer this metaphorical ship.

Beyond our core team, there are so many ways to get involved and showcase what makes our community so incredible! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Walk with us!

ATTENTION

Due to some public confusion caused by our recent posts, we want to make the following clarifications:

The Fredericton Police force has not submitted an application to march in the 2026 Pride Parade and Festival.

Q***r service members will be welcome to participate, but will not be marching in their uniforms out of respect for the historic injustices perpetrated by the CAF against 2SLGBTQIA Canadians.

We recently changed our internal policy regarding corporate participation to include local Q***r-owned business which have been barred from the Pride Parade and Festival in the past, but that we feel represents our values and deserves inclusion. In the spirit of fairness and coalition building, we intend to apply this policy to other local businesses who wish to celebrate Pride with us this year.

That said, we have heard the concerns of our community, and feel this discussion deserves our attention and consideration. To that end, we will be hosting a public forum this Sunday, June 14th at 7PM online Meeting to hear from community members on corporate participation in the Fierte Fredericton Pride Parade and Festival.

This will be a moderated discussion to allow everyone equal participation, and there will be zero tolerance for bullying, name calling or other disrespectful behaviours.

Everyone is welcome to join us, and we are looking forward to hearing from you on Sunday.

Meeting link will be posted an hour prior to meeting.

In solidarity,

We have some massive news to share! 🎉

One of our very own Board Members, Sarry Lilly (he/they), is taking the national stage this week as a speaker at the 1st Canadian Neurodiversity Pride Summit (Online, June 12 & 13)! ♾️🏳️‍⚧️

When Sarry isn't helping lead Fierté Fredericton Pride, they are doing vital advocacy work on the ground. ✨

As an NBCC Social Service Community Worker graduate and incoming BSW student at UNB Saint John, Sarry will be presenting a their research titled….

“A Medical Maze": First Voice Accounts of Systemic Barriers to Gender-Affirming Care for Autistic Transgender and Non-Binary Adults in New Brunswick.

We are so incredibly proud to have our board leadership representing NB and bringing these critical intersections of neurodivergence and 2SLGBTQIA+ healthcare to light. 🏳️‍🌈💖

Please join us in celebrating and supporting Sarry! 👏🏼

Check out the details in poster!

We have another incredible sponsor to celebrate! 💖

A massive, heartfelt thank you to our friends at for teaming up with us to make Pride 2026 happen!! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

By purchasing our Ally Package, St. Thomas University Student’s Union (STUSU) is directly helping us to bring Pride here to everyone in Fredericton! 🌈

STUSU has continuously done a fantastic work year round advocating for students, fighting for the justice, and ensuring that their campus life is a safe, welcoming, and supportive space to learn and grow.

We are so proud to have their energy and allyship again backing this year's celebrations; as we work together to make Fredericton a place where q***r students feel they truly belong! 🎓✨

You can stay up to date with their student advocacy and community initiatives every year, just by popping over to their page!

Of course, you can always go to their Website 💻 stusu.ca to learn more too!

Have you ever thought about supporting Pride too? 🏳️‍🌈

Well you’re in luck as it’s not too late! 👏🏼

06/08/2026

As we're getting everything ready for the festival, we really want to use our space this year to focus on advocacy and lifting up other important causes in our community.

Pride is a celebration, but it's also about standing together.

Right now, we're trying to gather lawn signs, posters, banners, petitions, or anything similar that we can feature at the festival and/or during the parade.

So far, we've acquired White Ribbon Fredericton signature boards and white ribbons for gender violence awareness, and we'll be handing out Moose Hide Campaign pins for Indigenous/Gender based violence advocacy.

We are also trying to get signs together to support the Save Wolastoq's Salmon campaign to protect the hatchery (Wolastoqey Tribal Council Inc.), signs supporting our NB farmers and public vet services, and signs demanding a Free Palestine and an end to genocide.

This is just what we have so far, and a start in some ideas!!

But we want to do more! A LOT MORE! 👀

If there are any lawn signs / banners / etc we can buy, borrow or you could donate for these causes, or if you want to help us out with this, please comment below or send us a DM.

Let us know how you can help or if there are other local advocacy that we should be highlighting.

Tag a Non-Profit you know! ✨

Tag a local advocacy page you love! 💖

Spread the word!

Thanks everyone!
