Saturday at Fredericton's Kids Fest was amazing! East Coast Leadership Academy was a presenter on the Main Stage, hosted a booth, and was a key sponsor of the event which continues on Sunday. These gifts empower Rotary members to carry out sustainable projects that improve people’s health, expand access to education, protect the environment, alleviate poverty, and promote peace around the globe.

Thanks to the collective efforts of Rotary members, leaders, and supporters, our Foundation was able in 2025-2026 award:

- The Rotary Foundation continues to advance Rotary’s mission and create lasting change in communities both locally and globally. We are pleased to share that together, we raised more than US$477 million (unaudited) in gifts and commitments during 2025-26.

These gifts empower Rotary members to carry out sustainable projects that improve people’s health, expand access to education, protect the environment, alleviate poverty, and promote peace around the globe.

Thanks to the collective efforts of Rotary members, leaders, and supporters, our Foundation was able to award:

1,804 global grants
463 district grants
61 disaster response grants
work with partners to vaccinate 35 million + children in 28 countries
and open our newest Rotary Peace Center at Symbiosis International University in India.

These achievements are possible because of people like you who champion Rotary’s mission through leadership, service, advocacy, and generosity.

Join us Sept.3 for a very special speaker event as we dive into this month’s Rotary theme of Basic Education & Literacy! Guest speaker Chris Treadwell will share his deep passion for education as a means to change the world. He's a provincial and global leader in using community voices and relevant experiential learning to students for meaningful, effective education. With this innovative approach, every student receives a personalized and unique educational journey.

Chris was an educator in the public school system for 34 years, 31 as a principal. He was also an adjunct instructor at UNB and STU. He retired as the Assistant Deputy Minister of Education. He was recognized as the principal of one of 20 exemplary high schools in Canada by the Canadian Education Association, and one of Canada's Outstanding Principals by the Canadian Association of Principals. Chris is the Academic Director of the East Coast Leadership Academy, a private school in Fredericton.
