📸 Throwback Thursday: Meet Suzanne!
We’re back with another staff feature, shining a spotlight on one of the wonderful people who make PFY what it is.
Here are a few of Suzanne's favourite things:
🔸 Quote: “The best is yet to come.”
🔸 Book: The Thursday Murder Club series and The Salt Path series
🔸 Place: Happiest memories of homes we once had in Goathland and Egton Bridge on the North Yorkshire Moors and spending many hours rambling over the moors and riding the steam trains.
🔸 Part of the day: Tea at home or walking the dog through the woods ☕🐕
🔸 Food: Fish ’n’ chips and mushy peas
🔸 Hobby: Painting, DIY, knitting, crochet, gardening, walking, playing games, cooking, crafting
🔸 Music: Not really into music, played the usual recorder in the school recorder group, tried to learn the flute, plonked on the piano and try to play the accordion and play the guitar badly. As for listening to music, I like the oldies and will often listen to the pop music from the 1980’s/90’s. I do enjoy singing, which I do loudly but not always in tune, to worship songs at church.
🔸 Concert or Event: Standing on the cliffs above the harbour in Whitby on May 9th 1997 watching the replica of ‘The Endeavour’, the boat Captain Cook sailed in, arrive in the town. She sailed into the harbour with cannons firing, church bells ringing and escorted by many boats with thousands of people cheering on. Also, the 2004 Remembrance Day Parade in London, watching all the soldiers, veterans, and Queen Elizabeth II march down Whitehall and the moving ceremony where she laid the wreath of poppies at the Cenotaph.
Check back next month for more throwback fun with another member of our team.
