As our 2025-2026 school year comes to an end, we want to kick off June by wishing everyone a very Happy Pride Month!
Whether you are a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or a friend and ally, This month invite us all to recognize the history and accomplishments that this month represents all June long.
We at the NBCCD Student Association hope to begin this month off with all the love and joy it deserves and we hope you join us in doing the same!

March 31 is International Transgender Day of Visibility. This day, first coined as an annual holiday in 2009, aims to raise awareness of the discrimination Transgender individuals face daily. We wanted to take today to serve as a reminder that today and everyday, The NBCCDSA remains a safe space for all Transgender and Non-binary students. 🩷🩵🤍🩵🩷

we invite you all to join us for our very first Breakfast Club happening tomorrow in the Beehaus Community Lounge! Breakfast will be provided by the Student Association from 7:30-8:30AM so be sure to stop in for a moment before your morning classes!

This Thursday, November 20, We invite you to join us on Transgender Day of Remembrance as we hold a small ceremony to commemorate and honour those that have lost their lives to anti-Trans violence.

From 5 – 6pm in the courtyard, students and staff are encouraged to join us in remembering the lives of our Trans friends, family, and community members.
Hot beverages will also be provided to keep you warm as colder weather is anticipated.

This Wednesday, Oct. 22nd, we are holding our Fall General Assembly in The Learning Commons from 12-1 PM. This is your chance to get involved and use your voice as we motion and vote on new Proposals. Any comments or questions for our team are encouraged and on behalf of the Student Association, we hope to see you there!
Lunch and baked goods will be catered by The Happy Baker.

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. On this day, we acknowledge the numerous injustices brought upon the Indigenous families and communities by the Residential School System. We wear orange shirts to represent the culture and identities taken from countless Indigenous children, and we use it as a symbol to acknowledge and learn from our past.
It's important to use this day, and every day, to highlight and uplift Indigenous voices as they voice their concerns, and to recognize the current 94 calls to action.

Hey Students! 📣

The NBCCD Student Association applications are now open, and our fall Election is in full swing. We are currently looking to fill roles on both our Student Association board of Directors, as well as our Studio Representative roles.
The current available positions for SA Directors are:
- President
- Vice President
- Outreach Coordinator

For Studio Reps:
Each studio, including FVA, is able to have one Studio Representative. This role will act as a liaison between the respective studio and the Student Association.
If you want to involved at NBCCD this is your chance! Deadline to apply is September 28, 2025.
