This week, our participants and families enjoyed a special presentation from York Care Centre's Pastor Norm McDonald. In addition to serving as YCC's in-house Pastor, Norm is also a local representative for the We Are Young program! 🩵

WAY is a charitable organization that grants meaningful wishes to older adults at no cost, helping them reconnect with loved ones, revisit cherished memories, and experience lifelong dreams.

The presentation was informative, engaging, and very well received. Thank you, Pastor Norm, for sharing this wonderful opportunity with our Adult Day Program community!

⚠ Summer Concert Series Update ⚠

Due to rain in Monday's forecast, the outdoor Summer Concert Series scheduled for Monday, June 15th at York Care Centre has been postponed to Tuesday, June 16th at 6:30 pm. The concert will take place in the York Care Centre front parking lot.

We’re holding out for the sunshine in Tuesday’s forecast and look forward to enjoying the music together. It’s always more fun in the sunshine 🔆

🌟 Meet Olu 🌟

Olu moved to Fredericton from Nigeria in August 2025 to pursue his Social Service Community Worker diploma at NBCC.

Since joining our Adult Day Program family in January 2026, Olu has become a valued member of our team. This summer, he is continuing his journey with York Care Centre through a SEED placement, gaining hands-on experience.

In his spare time, Olu enjoys playing Scrabble, listening to music, and cheering on his favourite football team, Arsenal ⚽

When asked what he enjoys most about the Adult Day Program, Olu shared: "My favourite thing about the Adult Day Program at YCC is bringing positivity into the lives of participants and making special connections."

We're grateful to have Olu as part of our YCC community and wish him continued success in his studies and placement!

Our first ice cream outing of the year was a sweet success!🍦

Today, our Adult Day Program participants hopped on the YCC bus and headed for JPM for some delicious ice cream and great company 😋. Everyone had a fantastic time!
