Let's get to know our leader-Jenica Atwin

Jenica Atwin was born in Oromocto, New Brunswick. She completed her Master of Education at University of New Brunswick, and worked as a teacher at Oromocto High School, and Fredericton High School, and as an educational consultant and researcher at First Nations Education Center for Kingsclear First Nation. In 2019, Jenica was the first woman to be elected as the Member of Parliament for the Riding of Fredericton, and she was re-elected to the position in 2021. Jenica is a Member of the Standing Committee for Indigenous and Northern Affairs, she collaborates with all levels of government to advance the policy priorities of her constituents and has resolved more than 600 constituent assistance cases this year alone.

Jenica Atwin est née à Oromocto, au Nouveau-Brunswick. Elle a obtenu une maîtrise en éducation à l'Université du Nouveau-Brunswick et a travaillé comme enseignante à l'école secondaire d'Oromocto et à l'école secondaire de Fredericton, ainsi que comme consultante en éducation et chercheuse au Centre d'éducation des Premières Nations pour la Première Nation de Kingsclear. En 2019, Jenica a été la première femme à être élue députée de la circonscription de Fredericton, et elle a été réélue en 2021. Today is Earth Day. Here is a history of it

The founder of Earth Day is Senator Ga***rd Nelson of Wisconsin, a staunch environmentalist who tried to increase environment awareness in the US. Earth Day was first celebrated in1970.
