Kootenay Country Fair The Kootenay Country Fair is a Sunday of fun and entertainment for the whole family! On Grandparents Day (First Sunday in September) at Fort Steele BC.

HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW? The Kootenay Country Fair is one of the best "family" events hosted in the East Kootenay's. It takes place at Fort Steele Heritage Town, located 15km northeast of Cranbrook on highway 93/95. You can enter your exhibits to win the red ribbons and for the kids we even hand out cash prizes! Besides the chance to show off all your best work, there are also lots of fun and ex

citing things to see and do at the fair. We have a petting zoo, kid's games, commercial tables and much much more. Fort Steele also supplies its own unique time travel into the past with gold panning demonstrations, blacksmithing, plus many other exciting things to take you back to the days of the old west. So not only do you get to take part in one of the best fairs in the area, you also have access to the entire Heritage Townsite and all the things that both the Fort and the Fair have to offer.
