Muscowpetung Saulteaux Business Developments Ltd. (MSBD) is looking for a bold, innovative, and visionary leader to become our next Chief Executive Officer.
The successful candidate will lead the implementation of our newly updated Strategic Plan, focusing on high-growth sectors that have the potential to create long-term employment, generate own-source revenue, and strengthen our Nation's economic independence.
ā” Renewable Energy
Muscowpetung is actively pursuing investments in renewable energy projects, including solar generation and emerging clean energy opportunities. We aim to build long-term revenue streams through ownership positions, strategic partnerships, and participation in Canadaās growing energy sector.
š¤ Indigenous Procurement & Partnerships
With Indigenous procurement commitments expanding across Canada, Muscowpetung is well-positioned to secure contracts and business opportunities with government and industry partners. We intend to leverage our relationships and corporate partnerships to create meaningful employment and business opportunities for our members.
šļø Community Infrastructure Development
Our Nation has identified significant infrastructure priorities including roads, water systems, wastewater systems, broadband connectivity, power distribution, and natural gas servicing. The CEO will help position Muscowpetung to participate in both the development and delivery of these projects while maximizing available funding opportunities.
šļø Commercial & Residential Development
Muscowpetung has established ambitious housing and commercial development goals, including multi-phase residential construction, rental housing, and commercial service hubs. These developments will support population growth, attract investment, and create long-term economic benefits for the community.
š² Tourism & Hospitality
Tourism presents an opportunity to showcase Muscowpetung culture, traditions, and hospitality while creating sustainable economic growth. Future developments may include campgrounds, cabin accommodations, cultural experiences, events, and year-round tourism attractions that support both local and regional visitors.
š„© Food Sovereignty Initiatives
Food security and food sovereignty are critical priorities for Indigenous communities. Muscowpetung seeks to develop local food production, distribution, and retail opportunities that increase access to affordable, culturally appropriate food while supporting economic development.
š Business Development & Investment Attraction
MSBD continues to expand its business portfolio through partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions, and new business opportunities. The CEO will play a key role in identifying investments that align with community values while generating sustainable financial returns.

Qualifications
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Public Administration, Finance, Law, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree considered an asset)
ā¢ Minimum 7-10 years of senior leadership or executive management experience
ā¢ Demonstrated success in business development, economic development, project management, or corporate growth
ā¢ Strong financial management and strategic planning experience
ā¢ Experience negotiating partnerships, contracts, and major business agreements
ā¢ Knowledge of Indigenous business development, procurement opportunities, and economic reconciliation initiatives
ā¢ Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
ā¢ Experience working with First Nations governments, development corporations, boards, or Indigenous organizations is considered a strong asset
