Are you continuing your post-secondary education while staying involved in sport?

The Sport North Scholarship Program offers a number of scholarships to support NWT students pursuing both sport-related studies and a wide range of other fields. Application Deadline: August 15

Small paddle, big opportunities!!!

Led by Coach Tamara, a former Arctic Winter Games Table Tennis athlete, these clinics provide a fun and welcoming environment where participants can build skills, gain confidence, stay active, and enjoy the game of Table Tennis.

Physical literacy is about developing the confidence, competence, and motivation to be active for life. Programs like these help participants improve coordination, agility, and reaction time, while discovering the joy of movement through sport.

Thank you Coach Tamara for creating inclusive opportunities that inspire the next generation of active Northerners!

Additional Clinics: Join Coach Tamara for additional FREE afternoon sessions designed for girls ages 10–15. These clinics are a great opportunity to build skills, gain confidence, play games, and have fun in a supportive environment.

Congratulations to the Northwest Territories U17 Men's Team on an outstanding performance at the 2026 Canada Basketball National Championships!

Finishing 9th in Canada, the team's best-ever result at the National Championships, is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the hard work of the athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and everyone who has supported their journey.

It's always inspiring to see athletes from the Northwest Territories competing and succeeding on the national stage. Congratulations to everyone involved on this historic accomplishment!

Did not get your 2026 Canadian Championships shirt yet? Here is your chance! Official souvenir shirts from the 2026 Canadian Championships are now available through the Manitoba Table Tennis Association.
Shirts are available in sizes small to extra large for $35 each or two for $60. Shipping is not included. To order, email [email protected] with your preferred size and quantity. Payment is available by e-transfer or credit card.

Registration is now open for the 2026 Edmonton Open! Get ready for one of Canada's premier Table Tennis tournaments, taking place September 5 and 6 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Alberta.

Tournament Dates: September 5 to 6, 2026
Venue: Saville Community Sports Centre, Edmonton, AB
Registration Deadline: August 30, 2026
Draw Date: August 31, 2026

Please note that all events have participant caps and will close automatically once full. Registration is available online only, and payment is required at the time of registration to secure your spot.

Fresh from the press!!! The Arctic Winter Games International Committee has announced that Fairbanks, Alaska has been selected to host the 2028 Arctic Winter Games. The Games will return to their traditional two year cycle, with planning for the event now officially underway. Please see the media release below for more information.
