Dear Valued Community Members, Funders, Donors, and Volunteers,
Clients, Staff, and Board.
As we embrace this final moment with Support Services Wood Buffalo, my heart is filled with immense gratitude and pride. It is with bittersweet emotions that we share this last farewell, marking the end of an era on December 31, 2025. While our doors have closed, the impact we've made together is a testament to visionary leadership, and for that, I am eternally grateful to each of you.
To Our Community & Clients: For over two decades, you opened your hearts and lives to us. You were more than clients; you were partners and protagonists in our story. From every program to every individual success, your resilience and spirit inspired us. Thank you for trusting us and for the honour of being part of your journey.
To Our Generous Funders & Donors: Your belief in our mission transformed dreams into reality. You gave more than funds; you gave opportunities and hope. Your support has touched countless lives and driven profound change. Thank you for being the cornerstone of our journey and for believing in the power of community and compassion.
To Our Dedicated Staff & Board, Past and Present: You brought our story to life with your endless energy, compassion, and strategic vision. You are the heart and soul of this organization. Your daily dedication and leadership inspired not only our work but also each other. Thank you for the passion and legacy you leave behind. Our collective efforts have created a legacy that will endure in all the lives we’ve touched.
Looking Back, Looking Forward: As we reflect, we celebrate the hundreds of individuals we have supported and the programs we have launched. Even though this chapter closes, the core values of compassion, empowerment, and community continue to touch every life. We hope you carry forward this spirit of service and connection.
Thank you for being an indispensable part of our story. Though we say farewell, the ripples of our efforts will resonate for years to come, inspiring many others to continue the work we started.
Maya Angelou says it best, "Your legacy isn't some big grand gesture that's waiting to happen; your legacy is every life you touch."
With deepest thanks and lasting admiration,
