The 3rd Annual Fort McMurray Wine Festival felt like pure magic this year. Ten incredible wine agencies, over 50 wines from around the world that you can’t buy locally, and more than 400 people who showed up ready to explore, sip, and enjoy something special together.

We want to give the warmest shout out to our good friends and organizers of this event Kaitlyn, Cass, and Nat. Both Outpost - Fine Wine Spirits Beer and Cass&Nat Event Planning are on the committee for this year’s wine auction, and the care, creativity, and commitment they bring is a huge part of why our auction keeps growing. We’re so lucky to have them in our corner.

The Annual SMS Equipment Inc. Wine Auction is the elegant, one-of-a-kind event that kicks off the Wood Buffalo gala season in style, featuring live entertainment, stunning decor, specialty refreshments created specifically for the evening, and - of course - a selection of wine and other beverages not usually found in our region. Since the first Wine Auction 16 years ago, its been held at different locations and with different themes, but one thing remains the same; this is the event you don't want to miss!

The funds raised through the Wine Auction directly support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wood Buffalo's life-changing mentoring programs that help young people in Wood Buffalo build confidence, resilience, and the skills needed to thrive. These programs include one‑to‑one matches and group‑based initiatives that connect children and youth with positive role models who inspire and empower them.
