We had an amazing time celebrating Seniors Week in Wood Buffalo!

On June 3, over 30 seniors joined us at Eagle Ridge Community Centre YMCA for Plant Bingo & Social, and it was a hit! From winning beautiful plants to enjoying a delicious catered lunch and great conversation, the room was full of laughter and connection.

Events like this are just one of the many ways we bring seniors together in our community. Stay tuned for more fun programs coming up. We’d love to see you there!

Last week, at the Clearwater YMCA, we paused to celebrate the people who quietly power our programs and strengthen our community every day our volunteers. Staff, members, and community partners came together to recognize the time, care, and heart these individuals give so generously. From mentoring youth and supporting families to welcoming newcomers and lending a steady hand wherever needed, our volunteers were honored not just for what they do, but for who they are.

To our volunteers, thank you. Because of you, the Clearwater YMCA can reach more people, create more meaningful connections, and deliver programs that truly respond to community needs.
