What a wonderful way to celebrate Seniors Week! 💛

We were honoured to bring together grandparents, grandchildren, Elders, seniors, and community members for an afternoon filled with creativity, connection, and laughter. From crafting and sharing stories to enjoying refreshments together, it was heartwarming to see so many generations creating memories side by side.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event so special. 🫶 We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the important role seniors and Elders play in our families, communities, and cultures.

This program was made possible through the support of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo Community Sustaining Grant.

Gathering together is an important part of community, healing, and cultural connection. That is what we are all about at the Friendship Centre. 🫶

Whether through sharing food, stories, songs, teachings, or laughter, gatherings help strengthen relationships and create space where everyone belongs.

This month, we encourage community members to take time to connect with one another, learn from Elders and Knowledge Keepers, and celebrate the beauty of all our different cultures and traditions. 🌿
