April 19th to 25th is National Volunteer Week. There is a considerable demand for volunteers to support an alpine ski program. From training to race days it requires a lot of parent involvement.

Let’s Chat: Adaptive Snowsports at Vista Ridge ⛷️

We are looking at bringing a formal Canadian Association for Adaptive Snowsports (CADS) program to the hill, and we want to hear from you! Stop by Vista Ridge to hear about the different paths we are considering and find out how to get involved.

When: May 29, 2026, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
Where: Clearwater Lounge at Vista Ridge.

We know there are already some certified instructors and passionate skiers in Fort McMurray, so come on out and help us figure out the best way to get everyone on the snow. Hope to see you there!

Meet Coach Wes. Our internet dancing sensation 🕺 and coach of our U12 program. Wes brings a great sense of humour 😅and a wealth of knowledge to our club as a former National athlete in Ski jumping Nordic Combined. The kids really look up to Coach Wes and we are fortunate to have him share his knowledge! Thanks Coach Wes!

Samy came out to the Blizzard Blast and was definitely the fore runner with the best moves. After helping the race crew by being a fore runner he stayed around to cheer on Areej and Adam! Great job big brother and thanks for helping out

Our NGSL crew is having a great time at the Cold Lake Blizzard Blast and they are ready for Day 2. A highlight is always when the Royal Canadian Airforce buzz the hill in their fighter jets. Such a cool experience!

Meet coach Spencer! Another coach who grew up racing with our club. When Spencer isn’t soaring down the slopes he is soaring in the skies with his full time job as a pilot. The racers regularly ask him to fly them to their races around the province. Spencer is a great role model for our kids and we are very lucky to have him.
