$600,000 for lifesaving emergency care in our region.
Local HERO Foundation is incredibly grateful to announce a combined $600,000 investment by Suncor and Syncrude for the region’s helicopter emergency medical service, building on almost a decade of support.
This extraordinary, combined contribution comes at a pivotal time for our Foundation and will help keep HERO1 ready to respond 24/7, reaching people at rural and remote locations, industrial sites, highways and communities throughout our vast region.
Suncor has been a longstanding supporter of Local HERO and our mission. This year’s investment, together with the additional support on behalf of Syncrude, demonstrates an incredible commitment to the safety and well-being of the people who live, work, and play in Wood Buffalo.
When every minute matters, support like this helps ensure emergency care can reach patients when they need it most.
To the teams at Suncor and Syncrude: thank you for continuing to stand behind Local HERO, our region and this lifesaving service.
Your support helps keep HERO1 flying.
