Do you know a creative teen aged 14–18 in the RMWB?

NorthWord Magazine is looking for motivated local youth to join our Youth Editorial Advisory Panel (YEAP) for our new digital pilot project: The Next Generation Edition.

This is a fantastic opportunity for young writers and artists to get real, hands-on literary experience and 1-on-1 mentorship.

What they will do:
• Choose the publication theme
• Review and select submissions
• Share their perspective as part of a youth-led editorial process

Please share this with a teenager, student, or young creator who would like to take part!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the launch of NorthWord Issue 33: Plastic at the Fort McMurray International Airport this afternoon.

It was an incredible event celebrating local storytelling, creativity, and the conversations sparked through this edition’s theme. The musical performance by Samson Nand set the tone beautifully, while our presenters shared thoughtful insights and perspectives inspired by the issue and its theme.

We’re so grateful to our contributors, sponsors, volunteers, partners, and attendees for helping make the launch such a success!
