☀️FuseSocial Summer Hours Update

As we transition into our new office space this summer, our regular office hours may look a little different over the next few months.

Between renovations, moving logistics, internet interruptions, and staff vacation, our team may sometimes be working remotely and office availability will vary week to week.

To ensure we can best support you, we kindly ask that meetings and visits be scheduled by appointment from June through August. You can reach our team by email, phone, or social media to book an appointment.

On Wednesday, May 20 we gathered to view the Community Action Projects completed by our Leadership Wood Buffalo 2025-2026 cohort. This close-knit group has been growing, learning, and changing alongside each other since September. It was a very special day to see the work they’ve been doing to grow as community leaders.

Team “When Help Disappears” interviewed 3 organizations and filmed and edited a 10 minute video that asks the question, “What would the ripple effect on community be if the lights went out on our social profit sector?” You can view their project on our YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/kJU_DYZ376c?si=tRfqySbKr3_qZrbh

Team “Youth Initiative” explored ways to build confidence in youth as they search for their first jobs, and give them tools to use that will help guide them and prepare them for the workforce.

This interactive session supports nonprofit staff in strengthening customer service by building the skills needed to navigate conflict, communicate effectively, and respond to real-world challenges with confidence.

Through discussion and reflection, staff will strengthen their ability to problem-solve, prioritize tasks, and use available tools to support smooth, effective interactions.

Leadership Wood Buffalo is wrapping up for another year, and that means it's time for Community Action Project presentations. Come by SMS Equipment Place from 9-12 tomorrow, May 20, to see what work this year's cohort has accomplished! Presentations will begin at 9, followed by light refreshments, networking, and an opportunity to talk to participants about their projects and ask questions 😊

Interagency is your space to connect, share your programs, and collaborate with peers across the sector. Swap stories, tackle challenges together, and spark new ideas while strengthening your agency’s impact in the community. Now, Interagency also includes the Community Classroom — a learning component where you can dive deeper into community offerings and gain insights from trusted local partners who are subject matter experts. While the roundtable focuses on sharing your own experiences, the Community Classroom gives you the chance to attend, explore, and learn from the innovative work happening across the sector.

This months Interagency is with Wood Buffalo Wellness Society. They will be delivering a learning on naloxone training.

Yesterday marked the end of our ✨new✨ Management and Supervision Essentials for Nonprofits training series 🥳 This engaged group has been with us since February! Congratulations to each of you for taking this next step in your learning journey with us 🫶 We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next.

Kassandra left them with an important reminder that, as managers and supervisors, we won’t always feel like we have our 🦆 ‘s in a row. Sometimes it’s about learning, adapting, and continuing to show up with care for your team. 👏
