🔬 Operation SMART (Ignite!) - 8 weeks exploring STEM concepts with BrainSTEM Alliance & women in STEM careers (ages 9-15)
🏃 P.E.P Rally - Virtual workshop on menstrual health with physician experts (ages 9-15)
📚 Book Club - Literacy workshops featuring "Finally Heard" novel discussions (ages 9-15)

We're excited to find our next Women of Inspiration Award recipients, but we need your help with nominations. Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta is now accepting nominations for the 2027 Voices of Change: Women of Inspiration Gala, happening March 6, 2027, at SMS Equipment Place.

This year we're celebrating three remarkable local women who shine brightly as:
STRONG, SMART and BOLD. And this year there's an exciting new element: three Girls Inc. youth participants will be honoured alongside the women being recognized. This aims to create a meaningful connection between today's girl leaders and the next generation of leaders.

Huge congratulations to Nishka Rai, our incredible Girls Inc. girl and dedicated youth volunteer, for receiving the prestigious Queen's Platinum Jubilee Citizenship Award from the Honourable Salma Lakhani, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta! 👑✨

This distinguished honour recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, outstanding community involvement, and an unwavering commitment to creating positive change in our communities.

Nishka extends her heartfelt gratitude to the Girls Inc. staff for the profound impact we've had on her life and for our shared mission of empowering girls throughout our community. 💜
