Last weekend at Camp Wright was a weekend well spent! It was nice to get back without the snow on the ground that we had in the spring last training year! 76 Cadets, many for the first time, got to learn a variety of new survival and leadership skills over the course of the weekend. A favourite from the weekend is always the fish class with the Level 3's.

Last evening, some of the cadets and staff at 868 wore orange shirts in recognition of today’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day.

September 30 is a time to remember the children who never returned home from residential schools and honour Survivors, their families, and their communities. Wearing orange is a reminder that Every Child Matters.

As a squadron, we recognize the importance of learning about this history and encouraging compassion, respect, and understanding among our Cadets.

Today, on National Truth and Reconciliation Day, we join as Canadian youth to remember, to honour, and to act. We stand with Indigenous communities, carrying forward the lessons of the past to shape a future rooted in respect, empathy, and justice. As cadets, we commit ourselves to being part of lasting change.

Ground School is taking place this evening at the YMM Airport Terminal, 7-9pm.
This is a great opportunity for cadets in level 3 and higher who have an interest in aviation - especially those considering applying for the Glider or Power pilot training courses next summer
