We are so excited to announce that MacDonald Island Park and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo will be hosting the 2028 Alberta Summer Games! ⚾🏈🏐⚽️🏸🏊‍♀️🚴🏃‍➡️

The Ninja Course Returns to MIP 🥷💪

Drop in to test your strength and agility as you make your way through this challenging obstacle course!

Open daily 9:00am – 8:30pm for regular drop-in and 8:30pm – 10:00pm for 16+ drop-in. Ages 5–11 require adult supervision. Ages 12+ may use this amenity without an adult present.

The Ninja course is here until June 15th, check it out before its gone!

Baseball Canada 18U National Championship presented by Fort McMurray 468 First Nation Economic Development returns to Fort McMurray⚾️🏆

Baseball Canada is sliding back into Fort McMurray this summer for one of the country's premier 18U baseball tournaments! Thanks to a continued partnership between us and the Fort McMurray Minor Baseball Association, the 2026 Baseball Canada 18U National Championship Presented by Fort McMurray 468 Economic Development, will take place August 13–16, 2026.

Games will be hosted at Legacy Dodge Field at MacDonald Island Park and Ross Hennigar Park in Thickwood, bringing top-tier talent to the heart of Wood Buffalo. Teams from across the country, will compete for national glory in four action-packed days of baseball.
