This week is Smile Cookie Week at Tim Hortons. We are honoured to partner with the Fort Macleod Tim Hortons as the recipients of this year’s campaign.

Every time you buy a cookie, you are helping your neighbours in need as we address food insecurity locally. Thank you for your care, and enjoy all the cookies you can handle!

Fort Macleod, look what you did! 🎄✨

We are so grateful to announce that our community raised $22,734.38 and donated over 12,000 lbs of food for our local food bank!

This generosity allowed us to provide 58 Christmas Food Hampers to families in need—a 16% increase in support over last year.

Thank you for answering the call and ensuring that hope and hunger relief reached our neighbours this season. We couldn’t do this without you! ❤️

WOW! We are so grateful for the team at Scougall Motors Ltd. for their very generous donation of groceries to our food bank. This truck contained over $4,000 in donations. Thank you for helping our neighbours this Christmas!

We received news today that the CPKC Holiday Train stop scheduled for Fort Macleod on December 14 has been cancelled due to operational challenges.

We want to be transparent that this decision was out of our control and there is unfortunately no recourse to bring the train back to our town this year. However, for those wishing to see the lights and music, the train will still be making its scheduled stops in Lethbridge and Pincher Creek.

We are grateful to CPKC for bridging the gap and doubling their donation to our Food Bank in the Holiday Train's absence. We rely heavily on major partnerships like this to keep our shelves stocked, especially now, as the demand for our services continues to rise during the Christmas season.

The work continues. Despite not being able to collect food through this specific event, our commitment to our neighbours remains unchanged.

How you can help:

1. Drop off donations: Visit us on Tuesdays at our Food Bank location or donate at any of our collection bins throughout town.

2. Donate by mail or over the phone: Mail donations to 1302 4 Avenue S., Lethbridge, AB T1J 0R4 or give over the phone by calling 403-328-8611.

3. Donate online: Go to lethbridgesalvationarmy.ca/give and please select "Fort Macleod Food Bank" from the options.
