Long time no see! It’s so good to see you all. We’re happy to be back and to host our first event of 2026 - A Youth Retreat ✨
The Western Arctic Youth Collective (WAYC) and Inuvialuit Communications Society (ICS) are inviting young people that are interested in learning life-promotion community work with a focus on wellness, culture, and the important of storytelling in a land-based setting, as we experience compassion fatigue, burnout, and are feeling the impacts of prolonged grief.
This camp will focus on wellness, storytelling and podcasting, learning about trauma awareness, coping, and emotional regulation techniques and skills that are centered around expressive and cultural activities. We are specifically inviting youth that want to learn about ways to take care of themselves and others.
WHEN: Feb 20th-24th, 2026
WHERE: B-dene Adventures Camp, outside Dettah and Yellowknife Area
Limited spots and travel available as our funding is limited.
Priority for Indigenous youth ages 18-30 connected to Arctic, Northern regions.
