We’re pleased to welcome Mike Bodnarchuk to the Pwi-Di-Goo-Zing Ne-Yaa-Zhing Advisory Services team as our new Technical Services Advisor! 👏

Mike brings 34 years of experience as a Certified Automotive Technician, along with a practical, team-focused approach and a strong commitment to building positive working relationships.

Over the coming weeks, Mike will be travelling to our communities to introduce himself and connect with Band Management and staff.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting and trapping with friends and family.

Fire prevention starts with the small things we do before an emergency happens.

Here are 4 simple ways to help keep your home and community safer:

🧯 Test smoke alarms monthly and make sure they’re installed on every level and outside sleeping areas.

🚪 Create and practise an escape plan. Know two ways out of each room when possible and choose a meeting place outside.

🍳 Stay in the kitchen while cooking and keep anything that can burn away from the stove.

🔌 Keep heat-producing electrical products away from combustible materials and unplug them when they’re not in use.

A few minutes of prevention today can make a meaningful difference when every second counts.

Clean, reliable water starts with thoughtful planning, testing, and collaboration. 💧

PWI Advisory Services is proud to be supporting the Mitaanjigamiing First Nation Water Treatment Pilot Project in partnership with MS Filter.

The pilot project is comparing the life expectancy and performance of two treatment methods, Biological Ion Exchange (BIEX) and Granular Activated Carbon (GAC), as polishing processes following the community’s existing pre-ozonation, roughing filter, and slow sand treatment process.

The project will also help determine the appropriate size of a future ozone system as part of a potential system upgrade.

This work is about gathering the right data to help inform long-term water treatment decisions and support reliable infrastructure for the community.

We’re grateful to contribute our expertise to this important project and to work alongside partners committed to practical, community-focused solutions.
